Longest time trapped in a lift

Kively Papajohn of Limassol, Cyprus, was, at the age of 76, trapped in her apartment block lift for six days from 28 December 1987–2 January 1988. She survived the cold and beat dehydration by rationing some fruit, vegetables and bread that she had in her shoppping bag. She had gone shopping on the 28th and on the way back home, had got stuck in the lift at the second floor. Despite shouting out and banging on the walls, she was left undiscovered as no one else lived in her block. She was only saved when one of her relatives came to find her.
