As of 3 September 2018, the youngest billionaire is currently 21-year-old Alexandra Andresen (Norway, b. 23 July 1996). Her net worth was estimated by Forbes to be $1.4 billion (£1.080 billion), acquired when she inherited 42% of her family-owned investment company Ferd from her father Johan Henrik Andresen. Her sister Katharina – a year older – also owns 42%.

Ms Andresen, who was educated in the UK and has competed as a professional dressage rider, attained the record for youngest billionaire at the age of 10 years old, when she received her share of Ferd. However, it was only in recent years that this came to light, as Norwegian tax authorities publish returns information on everyone over 17 years old. Her sister is the second youngest billionaire, and the third youngest also happens to be Norwegian, namely 25-year-old salmon farmer Gustav Magnar Witzoe, the youngest male billionaire.
