Oldest Archery Organisation

The oldest archery body in the world is the Ancient Society of Kilwinning Archers, in Scotland. Its first recorded Papingo shoot was in 1483 and the Society has been in existence ever since. In the event of there being no shooting members the Town Clerk took the office of Secretary so that the Society could continue.
