The first person to kayak across the Atlantic from Europe to North America was Aleksander Doba (Poland), who kayaked solo 3541 nautical miles (6558 km or 4075 miles) from Lisbon, Portugal to Canaveral, Florida, United States in 196 days between 5 October 2013 and 17 April 2014.
Aleksander Doba was the first to kayak fully human-propelled across the Atlantic from Europe to North America. Franz Romer kayaked with the assistance of sail from Europe to North America in 1928.
