Rovanperä made WRC history with his victory at the 2022 Rally New Zealand, sealing the title for Toyota Gazoo Racing. It was his sixth win in 13 rallies that year, alongside co-driver Jonne Halttunen. Kalle is the son of former WRC driver Harri Rovanperä.
