The youngest UN Messenger of Peace is Malala Yousafzai (Pakistan, b. 12 July 1997), who was designated as a UN Messenger of Peace with a special focus on girls’ education, on 10 April 2017.
Malala, who was shot in 2012 by the Taliban for attending classes and supporting the right of girls to be educated, also holds the record of 'Youngest Nobel Peace Prize Winner'.
