Flat-coated retriever SH CH Vbos The Kentuckian (aka Jet), owned by Jim Irvine of Edinburgh, Scotland, UK, was chosen as Best in Show at Crufts held at the NEC arena in Birmingham on 13 March 2011 at the age of 9 years 195 days. He had already won Best in Breed at the show in 2008.
Vbos The Kentuckian was descended from the 1980 Best in Show winner, Ch. Shargleam Blackcap.
At the other end of the scale, the youngest dog to win Best in Show at Crufts to date is bulldog CH Noways Chuckles, owned by Mr John T Bernard, who took the top prize on 9 February 1952 aged 1 year 115 days.
