The greatest distance run on a manual treadmill in 12 hours (male) is 94.3 km (58.59 mi) and was achieved by Agalawatta Ashoka Princely Liyanage (Sri Lanka) in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on 8-9 March 2025.
Agalawatta Ashoka Princely is a retired Rear Admiral in the Sri Lankan Navy. Having accomplished other awards for marathons and trekking, he set himself a new challenge: to achieve this endurance treadmill record. After months of training specifically for the attempt, he surpassed the previous distance achieved with hours remaining on the clock and kept going until the very end, achieving 94.3 km.
