Mingma Dorchi Sherpa (Nepal) stood on the pinnacle of both Everest and Lhotse – the highest and fourth-highest mountains in the world – within a period of just 6 hr 1 min. He topped Everest on 27 May 2019 at 12.44 a.m. and traversed via the South Col to the top of Lhotse by 6.45 a.m. on the same day.

A "traverse" is distinct from a "double-header" in that it requires the climber to cross from one peak to another without the need to return to camp. Lhotse lies within two miles of Everest, hence the feasibility of this challenge.
