Beyoncé (b. Beyoncé Knowles) and Jay-Z (b. Shawn Carter; both USA) won 56 Grammys combined between 1999 and 2023. Beyoncé’s 32 awards – the most Grammys won by an individual – were collected between 2001 and 2023, while Jay-Z landed 24 awards between 1999 and 2022. The American A-listers, who tied the knot at a secret ceremony on 4 April 2008, also have a combined total of 176 nominations (Beyoncé 88, Jay-Z 88) – tied for the most Grammy nominations by an individual.

Excluding Grammys won before their marriage (i.e., trophies received before the 51st Annual Grammy Awards on 8 February 2009), the couple’s tally stood at 40 (Beyoncé 22, Jay-Z 18) as of 5 February 2023.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have won six Grammys together: Best R&B Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “Crazy in Love” (2004); Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance for “Drunk in Love” (2015); Best Urban Contemporary Album for Everything Is Love (as The Carters, 2019); and Best Rap Song for Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” (Beyoncé as featured artist, Jay-Z as songwriter, 2021).

At the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards on 14 March 2021, Best Music Video was won by “Brown Skin Girl”, Beyoncé’s collaboration with SAINt JHN, Wizkid and her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. Including this win, all three individual members of the Carter family have accumulated 57 Grammys combined.
