The first Women’s National Basketball Association player to record a “50–40–90” season is Elena Delle Donne (USA) for the Washington Mystics in 2019.

The “50–40–90“ season is a statistic signifying notable shooting accuracy. To qualify, players must make at least 50% of their shots from the field, 40% from 3-point range and 90% from the foul line. In 2019, Della Donne hit 51.5% of her field goals (220 of 427), 43% of her 3-pointers (52 of 121) and 97.4% of her free throws (114 of 117).

Eight players in the NBA have achieved the “50–40–90”: Larry Bird (twice, Boston Celtics); Malcolm Brogdon (Milwaukee Bucks); Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors); Kevin Durant (Oklahoma City Thunder); Reggie Miller (Indiana Pacers) Steve Nash (four times, Phoenix Suns); Dirk Nowitzki (Dallas Mavericks) and Mark Price (Cleveland Cavaliers). Delle Donne is the first from the WNBA. Her free-throw percentage of 97.4% is comfortably the highest achieved by any member of the “50–40–90 club”.
