The tallest potato plant (Solanum tuberosum) reached a height of 343 cm (11 ft 3 in), and was grown by Cecelia Smith (USA), in Nebo, North Carolina, USA, on 13 July 2023.
Cecilia started growing her plant "Gertrude" inside in February, and by May she realized it might break the record.
