The largest Christmas snowflake ornament measures 5.03 m (16.50 ft) and was achieved by Phil Tranter (United Kingdom), in Whitchurch, United Kingdom, on 9 December 2025.
Every year, Phil raises money for a chosen charity through a Christmas light display. He hopes to do something bigger, better and brighter with each passing year. This is where the idea for a display that could achieve a Guinness World Records title came in.
He began the process of making the larger than life snowflake in March 2025, and on 9 December 2025, the completed item was inspected and measured. The snowflake contains approximately 6,000 lights.
