The greatest vertical descent on a mountain bike in 24 hours (female) is 55,308 m (181,456 ft), achieved by Annie Ford (New Zealand) in Queenstown, Otago, New Zealand, on 23-24 January 2025.
Annie broke her own record of 41,900 m (137,467 ft) which she set in 2023. As with her previous attempt, she did laps of The Coronet Express.
She spent 3 months preparing for this latest attempt, which included a minimum of 10,000 metres vertical downhill training each week.
