First live in-game event to occur simultaneously across six videogame platforms

In Fortnite Battle Royale on 30 June 2018, there was a game-changing moment as a mysterious rocket blasted off from Snobby Shores. The rocket launch was the first live in-game event to occur simultaneously across six platforms, as players on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC, iOS and Android watched it arc across the sky together. A writer for Forbes magazine said: "Before the launch, I joked that the Fortnite rocket would be our generation’s Moon landing, but honestly, there was something incredibly cool about this entire process."
