Most in-demand horror TV show

American Horror Story (FX, USA) was the most popular horror TV show in the world in 2024–25, according to data-science firm Parrot Analytics, with a rating 32.7 times greater than the average TV show. The valuation covers the period from 1 February 2024 to 31 January 2025.

The series premiered on 7 November 2011 and to date has released 12 seasons. Every season forms a discrete mini-series, each featuring different locations and characters. It has regularly been rated the most in-demand fright show, although it briefly lost its crown in 2023–24 to Wednesday (Netflix, USA).

American Horror Story’s guest stars have included supermodel Naomi Campbell, music artist Lady Gaga and Jyoti Amge, the world's shortest woman, as the character Ma Petite.
