The shortest actress is Jyoti Kisange Amge (India), who was measured at 62.8 cm (24.7 in) in Nagpur, India, on 16 December 2011 and subsequently went on to appear as regular character Ma Petite in the FX TV series American Horror Story: Freak Show (premiered 8 October 2014). The fourth season of the American Horror Story series is set in 1950s Florida, USA, and tells the story of one of America's last freak shows.
Jyoti is also the shortest living woman in the world, and hopes to continue her acting career in Bollywood movies.
