Combat is a key component of the Batman: Arkham series, and the game rewards players who are able to takeout multiple enemies in a string of combo moves and takedowns. On 2 July 2015 African Gamer was able to amass a staggering 4,042 hit combo in the Iceberg Lounge VIP Room Map on Batman: Arkham City, a feat that took over an hour to pull off. For comparison, only around a quarter of all PlayStation 3 owners who have played the game have unlocked the trophy that rewarded the achievement of a mere 50-hit combo.
African gamer appears to have made a hobby of beating up Gotham City's bad guys – he has also uploaded videos showing the achievement of a 2242 hit combo on the same game as Nightwing as well as a 5,518 hit combo as Batman in Batman: Arkham Knight.
His nearest rival as a heavy hitter is the gamer Bill A, who has amassed multiple instances of hit combos in excess of 2,000 on Batman Arkham City.
Gamer Act of Vengence was able to rack up an unbelievable 10,255 hit combo on a single thug in Batman Arkham Origins, but this was due to a glitch in the game.
