Largest explorable landmass in an Assassin’s Creed videogame

Assassin's Creed Odyssey (Ubisoft, 2018) has the gameplay map with the largest area of any game in the Assassin’s Creed series. Ubisoft hasn’t given any official sizes, but YouTuber Dimitris Galatas used a software measuring tool called ImageJ, along with in-game distance measurements and maps to calculate the size of Odyssey’s map, which turned out to be a colossal 256.38 km².

You can see how the calculation is performed in the video linked to in the evidence section. Dimitris used the same measuring technique to measure the size of other Assassin’s Creed maps – the next closest was Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, which he measured at 235 km².
