Rafael Nadal (Spain) lost the 2011 Wimbledon and US Open finals and the 2012 Australian Open final, all to Novak Djokovic.
Nadal had the consolation of book-ending this hat-trick of defeats with his sixth and seventh French Open titles in 2011 and 2012, the latter partly avenging his losses to Djokovic with a four-set win against the Serbian player at Roland Garros.
