On 28 July 2018 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, USA, the London Spitfire became the first champions of the Overwatch League Grand Finals. The London Spitfire won the Grand Finals series 2-0 overall, defeating Philadelphia Fusion 3-1 on Friday 27 July 2018 and then 3-0 on Saturday 28 July 2018. London won the $1,000,000 prize (£760,475), while Philadelphia took $400,000 (£304,190) as the runner-up.
