The fastest run 300 m by a female athlete is 34.41 seconds, achieved by Shaunae Miller-Uibo (The Bahamas) on 20 June 2019 at the Golden Spike IAAF World Challenge Meeting in Ostrava, Czech Republic.

The rarely run 300 m is not considered an official distance by the IAAF, which acknowledges only “world-best” – rather than world-record – times. Miller-Uibo smashed the IAAF’s previous world-best time of 35.30 seconds, set at altitude by Ana Guevara in 2003. On 6 October 1985, Marita Koch (German Democratic Republic) ran 300 m in 34.14 seconds during her 400 m world record performance in Canberra, Australia.
