Annie once again chose to attempt this feat now that she's 81- as she was in search of a good challenge. In the presence of a loud, cheering audience, Annie did loads of cool tricks while skipping.
The Prickly Pear Open is an American Jump Rope Federation (AMJRF) sanctioned competition and follows all the rules and regulations of the International Jump Rope Union (IJRU).
The origins of rope skipping can be traced back centuries, with evidence of rope skipping in various forms across different cultures. While the exact origins are still up for debate, some believe it to be China, where rope jumping was a popular pastime during the Chinese New Year celebrations. Others argue rope skipping originated in ancient Egypt.
