Most Teen Choice Awards won by a music group

One Direction (UK/Ireland) won more surfboard trophies at the Teen Choice Awards than any other act – 28. Their haul included five consecutive Music – Love Song awards, in 2012–16 (What Makes You Beautiful, Little Things, You & I, Night Changes and Perfect), and four successive Music Single – Group wins, in 2013–16 (Live While We’re Young, Story of My Life, Steal My Girl and Home). They won all but three of the awards for which they were nominated (2012–18).

The five individual members of One Direction have collectively won 17 Teen Choice awards: Harry Styles – nine awards in 2013–18; Zayn Malik – three in 2016–19; Louis Tomlinson – three in 2017–19; Niall Horan – one in 2017; Liam Payne – one in 2018. As of 26 September 2022, Jonas Brothers’ 17 Teen Choice awards (2008–19) was the next-best tally for a music group. The most recent edition of the Teen Choice Awards was held in Hermosa Beach, California, USA, on 11 August 2019.
