The most Kabbadi World Cup wins by a women’s team is four and was achieved by India in 2012–14 and 2016.

The women's Kabaddi World Cup has been held on four occasions, with India hosting and winning all four tournaments.

In 2016, India defeated the USA with a score of 45–10 in the final.

The World Cup is organized by the IKF (International Kabaddi Federation), who adhere to "Punjab circle style" rules. This means the two teams of eight play on a circular pitch, 22 metres in diameter, and they are awarded a point for each touch of a raiding opponent.

The game lasts 40 minutes divided into two 20-minute halves.
