The longest alternating chain of people clasping wrists is 4073 and was achieved by the Yianis Christodoulou Foundation (Cyprus) with John Christodoulou (Cyprus) and Konstantinos Argiros (Greece) in Nicosia, Cyprus, on 25 June 2024.
The attempt was attended by people of all ages from the Cypriot community & included children & people with various disabilities. Scanning of participants began at 6.00pm but, because of the recent heatwave in Cyprus, the attempt didn't commence until after 9.00pm when the temperature was more comfortable. All participants were given a ticket for entry into an adjacent stadium to watch a very famous Greek singer in concert, Konstantinos Argiros.
