The most viewed Facebook Live video was posted by Candace Payne (USA), aka "Chewbacca Mom", on 19 May 2016 and by 19 July 2016 had received more than 159 million views. The four-minute-long video shows Candace wearing a "Wookiee-talking" Chewbacca mask and descending into an uncontrollable laughing fit. The video went viral on the social network and beyond.
The record was verified by Facebook as of 19 July 2016. Facebook said that the video surpassed 100 million views within the first 48 hours of being posted.
