As of 11 May 2021, the seven sons born to Nima Tseri Sherpa and Pema Futi Sherpa (all NPL) had climbed Everest a total of 61 times. Mingma Tshering Sherpa (aka Mingma Tsiri Sherpa) made the most recent summit during the 2021 season, taking his total to 20; Nima Gombu Sherpa had made 17; Pasang Tenzing Sherpa, 12; Thundu Sherpa, 9; and Ang Chiri Sherpa, Nima Temba Sherpa and Pema Tharke Sherpa had each climbed once.

Nima Tseri was Edmund Hillary's "mail runner" for his landmark expedition on Everest in 1953, and his sons continued the family tradition of working on the world's highest mountain. The family also has two daughters, Ngami Sherpa and Lakpa Futi Sherpa.
