The highest sale value of a private collection of 3.75-inch Star Wars figures sold at a single auction was achieved by Craig Stevens (UK), a former chairman of the UK Star Wars Fan Club, who realized a total of £41,796 ($63,209) when he sold 70 figurines from his collection at the UK’s toy auction house Vectis, on 28 January 2015. The figures, all from the original trilogy of Star Wars films, included the bounty hunter Boba Fett, which sold for £18,000 ($27,221), Obi-Wan Kenobi, which sold for £5,040 ($7,622), and the droid R2-D2, which sold for £1,560 ($2,359). The top-sellers were all in their original, unopened packaging.
In a follow-up auction in February 2015, also organized by Vectis, Stevens sold a further 15 rare Star Wars action figures for £30,000 ($45,370), bringing the total for both auctions to a tidy £71,796 ($108,579).
