Longest winning streak of tournaments in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U

Between November 2014 and October 2015, competitive Smash Bros. player Gonzalo “ZeRo” Barrios (Chile) won 56 consecutive Super Smash Bros. for Wii U tournaments. His incredible winning streak finally squealed to an end at the MLG World Finals 2015 on 18 October 2015, when he was defeated by Nairoby “Nairo” Quezada (USA). During the 2015 EVO Championship, which attracted 1,926 entrants – a then-record for a Smash Bros. tournament – “Zer0” stunned fans and organizers alike by not dropping a single round, an achievement never previously accomplished at any EVO tournament.
