First released for C64 and Atari ST in 1987, MicroLeague Wrestling was a turn-based strategy wrestling game that featured several WWF stars including Hulk Hogan and Randy “Macho Man” Savage. Two expansion discs introduced more famous wrestlers to the action.

The WWF (World Wrestling Federation) changed its name in 2002 to WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) due to a dispute with the World Wildlife Federation (also WWF).
