Most printed fictional diary series

As of November 2014, with the release of the ninth instalment, The Long Haul, the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, written and illustrated by Jeff Kinney (USA), had in excess of 150 million copies in print. The books have been sold in more than 44 territories in 42 languages to date. Its total print figure is set for another big increase with the release of book 10 – Old School – on 3 November 2015, which is due to be published in more than 90 countries.
