Mané scored his first goal in the 13th minute of the game and by the 16th minute he had put Southampton 3–0 up. They went on to win the game 6–1. It was the 268th hat-trick in the Premier League era and the third by a Senegalese player after Henri Camara (2005) and Demba Ba (2011). The previous record was held by Robbie Fowler, who scored a hat-trick for Liverpool vs Arsenal in 4 minutes 33 seconds in August 1994.
