Shaquille O'Neal (USA) was the first player to win the NBA Championship while also appearing on the cover of an NBA 2K game. The feat was achieved while the 7-foot 1-inch centre was playing for the Miami Heat in the 2005–06 season, at the same time as fronting the cover of NBA 2K6 (2K Sports, 2005).
