For those who love to play games from the past there are, in general, three main choices: emulation, using the original hardware or snapping up a clone console. The Android-powered RetroN 5 was launched in June 2014 by Hyperkin (USA) and it lets players use the original cartridges of the NES, SNES, Genesis, Famicom and Game Boy Advance. With no region restrictions and the ability to play both PAL and NTSC carts, it also allows the use of Super Famicom, Mega Drive, Game Boy Color and Game Boy games. Compatible with nine different retro consoles, the RetroN 5 is, therefore, the most versatile home console emulator.
