The fastest time to climb the highest points in all 50 US states is 30 days 15 hr 50 min, achieved by Matheson Brown (New Zealand), from 4 June to 5 July 2024.
Matheson (27) has been interested in the outdoors since he was young.
After spending 3 months hitchhiking around New Zealand, including 2 weeks alone in the wilderness with almost no food, he decided to go to University where he studied to become an outdoor instructor and guide. It was there he became interested in highpointing which eventually led him to begin training towards this record.
He not only summited each point but also climbed down after!
