The highest bicycle ramp jump is 5.38 m (17 ft 7 in) from the take off ramp to the bar, and was achieved by Daryl Brown (UK) in Birmingham, UK, on 23 June 2016.
This record attempt took place in the Birmingham NEC and was made in conjunction with EXTREME and DeWalt.
Daryl said in the lead up to the event, “In 2013 at Bike Days festival In Switzerland I achieved the unofficial high air record. Since that day I have always wanted and dreamed of making the record official, I feel I am the best guy in Mountain Bike to achieve this and would love to smash the record.”
Daryl beat the previous record holder by 1.1 m (3 ft 7 in).
