The youngest golfer to win a World Golf Championships (WGC) event is Patrick Reed (USA, b. 5 August 1994), who was aged 23 years 216 days when he won the 2014 WGC-Cadillac Championship by one shot playing on the Blue Monster Course, Doral, Florida, USA, on 9 March 2014. Patrick Reed had previously won two tour events on the PGA tour and became only the fifth golfer to win 3 PGA Tour events before his 24th birthday. The WGC brings together the best players from the leading tours (PGA Tour, European Tour, Japan Golf Tour etc.) in four annual events with more prize money on offer than in the majors.
