Fastest Any% completion of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

According to speedrun.com, the absolute fastest time to complete The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998) is 3 minutes 50 seconds 950 milliseconds by Murph_E (USA) on 11 May 2023.

This is the fourth time that Murph_E has claimed this Any& category, having shaved milliseconds off his previous world record of 3 minutes 51 seconds 770 milliseconds set just over a month before on 8 April. Since first breaking the record in 2022, he has bettered his time by a whole 4 seconds 516 milliseconds (4.516 seconds) - a significant improvement in a challenge where every millisecond counts. He used a Wii Virtual Console.

Murph_E's main rival has been the Norwegian player Savestate, with a personal best (and former record-breaking) time of 3 minutes 52 minutes 400 milliseconds on 26 March 2023.

For comparison, the fastest 100% completion of the game is 3 hours 45 minutes 46 seconds by glitchymom of Ontario, Canada, achieved on 12 July 2023.
