The most drop goals scored in a Rugby Union World Cup match is 5 and was achieved by Jannie de Beer (South Africa) playing for South Africa against England in the 1999 IRB World Cup Quarter Finals at Stade de France, Paris, France, on 24 October 1999.
South Africa won the match 44-21 with Jannie de Beer scoring 34 of South Africa's points. This was also the record for 'Most drop goals scored in a rugby union international (individual)', but this was beaten when Konstantin Rachkov (Russia) kicked six drop goals whilst playing for Russia in a Six Nations B game against Spain in Mallorca, Spain, on 16 February 2003.
