The largest marina (or small-craft harbour) by population is the Marina del Rey in Los Angeles County, California, USA. According to a 2010 census, it has a population of 8,866 and is home to some 6,500 boats.
Once it is completed, the Dubai Marina – a 3-km-long canal city – will be home to approximately 120,000 people.
