Most books published per capita

As of the most recent figures available from the International Publishers Association (IPA), the country that produces the most books per capita is the UK, with a record 2,710 titles published per million people in 2015 – a total of 173,000 books. In close second place is Iceland with 2,628 books per million (885 titles), and Denmark is third with 2,326 per million (13,170 titles).

According to the IPA, in 2015 a total of 1.6 million books were published worldwide, and the country that released the most was China, with 470,000 new titles.
