The XC2V Flypmode, produced by the Local Motors company and DARPA (the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) was the first crowdsourced military vehicle design. Built to replace the Humvee, the XC2V Flypmode prototype was presented to President Obama at the end of June 2011. The XC2V Flypmode was designed in just three weeks and the prototype built within three and a half months.
