The youngest World Surf League champion (female) is Caitlin Simmers (USA, b. 26 October 2005), who was aged 18 years 316 days when she won the 2024 World Surf League Finals at Lower Trestles in California, USA, on 6 September 2024.

Simmers defeated Caroline Marks 2–1 in the best of three Title Match to become the World Surf’s League youngest-ever women’s champion. She had finished top of the Championship Tour rankings with three wins that year. Margo Oberg was 15 when she won the 1968 World Surfing Championship, but this tournament predates the first championship recognized by the World Surf League – the 1976 IPS World Circuit.
