The largest eyes of any spider are those of the ogre-faced (gladiator) spiders, genus Deinopis. They each measure up to 1.4 mm across and do not produce very clear images, although they are excellent at gathering light for night vision.
Gladiator spiders are more efficient at seeing in low-light conditions than even cats and owls!
