In a 20-year professional career (1986–2006), Agassi won the Davis Cup (representing the USA) in 1990, 1992 and 1995, the ATP Tour World Championships (currently known as the ATP World Tour Finals) in 1990, Wimbledon in 1992, the US Open in 1994 and 1999, the Australian Open in 1995, 2000, 2001 and 2003 and a gold medal in the singles competition at the Olympic Games in Atlanta, USA, in 1996. He completed a "Career Super Slam" when he won the French Open in 1999.
Rafael Nadal (Spain) will become only the second man to claim a "Career Super Slam" if he wins the ATP World Tour Finals in November 2014. He was the losing finalist in 2010 (against Roger Federer) and 2013 (against Novak Djokovic).
In the women's game, both Steffi Graf (Agassi's wife) and Serena Williams have won a "Career Super Slam".
The phrase "Career Super Slam" was coined by Sports Illustrated magazine.
