On 11 August 2012, 19-year-old Ray Rizzo defeated rival Wolfe Glick in the Pokémon World Championship final. This was the third year in a row he had taken the title.
Ray – the first three-time world champion in the game's history – went on to appear in Pokemon Black and White 2, after Nintendo added him and his Pokémon team as a Wi-fi update to the 2012 Masters Division Challenge in Driftveil City.
