Chhurim Dolma Sherpa of Taplejung, Nepal, successfully summitted Everest twice in a single climbing season, reaching the peak from the Nepal side for the first time on 12 May 2011 as part of the Arun Friendship Mount Everest expedition team, and then again on 19 May, also with Arun and the Himalayan Sherpa Expedition USA. Miss Chhurim set off on 9 May, reached the summit on 12 May, returned to Base Camp and rested until 17 May before embarking on her second ascent, which she achieved on 19 May.
