Advertisers paid more than $7 million (£5.57 million) per 30-second slot during Super Bowl LIX on 9 February 2025.
Most of the advertising inventory had sold out the previous August, before the start of the regular NFL football season. Then, on 11 November 2024, Fox Corporaiton CEO Lachlan Murdoch told investors that all slots had "already sold out, and at record pricing". On 12 February 2025, Fox confirmed their record figures, repoting that they and their streaming service Tubi had "generated over $800 million [£645.64 million] in gross revenue from advertising sales across all platforms, with record pricing for the sold-out game."
The average price of the 30-second slot increased after some advertisers pulled out as a result of the California wild fires, and their slots were resold at a higher rate.
Advertisers who harnessed international star names to front their slots included Bosch (fronted by Hollywood star Antonio Banderas), Bud Light (with comedian Shane Gillis and NFL legend Peyton Manning), Häagen-Dazs (with Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez), Hellman's (with Billy Crystel and Meg Ryan promoting mayonnaise by recreating their famous diner scene from the 1989 movie When Harry Met Sally), Mountain Dew (with Becky G and Seal, directed by Taika Waititi), NerdWallet (with Succession star Kieran Culkin), Stella Artois (with David Beckham and Matt Damon) and Squarespace (with Saltburn star Barry Keoghan).
