Seven-year-old whippet Sounders, owned by Laurel Behnke (USA), leapt 36 feet 6 inches (11.12 metres) into a canine dock-jumping pool at the Brown Dog University Wild Wet West Showdown in Gig Harbor, Washington, USA, on 30 July 2022. The record was verified by North America Diving Dogs (NADD), whose judges were present at the event.

The jump was witnessed and recorded by NADD’s Certified Senior Judges Kristi Baird and Hallie Blankenship at Brown Dog University and reviewed and verified by NADD owner, Debora Markwardt.

This bettered Sounders' previous world record dock jump of 11.02 m (36 ft 3 in) set in 2019.
